Pros of the Champion Winch
The Champion winch is designed to work for a variety of vehicle types. They are made for trucks, jeeps, ATV, SUV, and UTV.
There are Champion winch kits ranging from 2200 lb to 10000 lb and the prices are affordable. Something ranging from $86.97 for the 2200 lb. and around $551.73 for the 10000 lb. The 7500 lb and 8500 lb Champion winch and above seem to be the more cost effective models from most users’ feedback on various online forums. These go for a minimum of $300.00. These models could serve you for up to 5 years and still going strong. It works well and has great pulling power.
It is also strong and is rarely damaged even when working through rough terrain.
Cons of Champion Winch
Despite it being economical in the short run, the Champion winch is a bit slower. Lower models, below 7000 lb. do not appear to be as strong and as effective as the higher power models.They are not as durable either. They seem to confirm the saying, “cheap is expensive” in that, you will need regular replacement. That is too costly in the long run. Most consumers seem to be concerned that Champion winches below 7500 pounds are not effective. However this concern can be overcome by going for heavier models of the same manufacturer which are pretty much very effective.
The Champion winch has a number of disadvantages especially when dealing with the cheapest models. However, the disadvantages are not as pronounced as the advantages when it comes to the more expensive models of the same manufacturer. Depending on your budget, you can get a good champion winch that will serve the purpose just well.

One user argues that the Champion winch he uses provides for self-recovery and that it is hardy. He explains how it was hit hard against hard surfaces like rock but still it managed to pull through in a very rough section.
Another reviewer pointed out that the Champion winch beats other brands and only comes second to probably, the warn winch which is the leader in the industry. The only complaints according to that review was that it is loud to some extent and that it has a very slow line speed and that is for real. Most reviewers who are pro the Champion winch report that their satisfaction with the product is that it comes with an agreement between the buyer and the dealer on behalf of the manufacturer for full replacement service, sometimes giving a warranty that covers up to 3 years!
